Band

The band project was first launched in the hazy spring of 2004 by then aspiring/tormented guitarist/songwriter Toni. Later that year Teemu joined the group with his magnificent bass.

After various lineup changes (including a drummer who never learned the song structures and could play nothing but hyrrrhyrrrhyrrr on the set, thus almost ruining our very first gig), the band recorded its first demo with two new members, namely the Iggy Pop-idolizing Iina on vocals and Samppa, the disappearing dude, on drums. Shortly thereafter the vocal duties were taken up by Ida, replacing Iina, and the first solid lineup, then called Devius, came to existence.

In the summer of 2006, Samppa disappeared for the last time and Juuso came in to fill the drum throne while Mikko and his beard joined the band after one rather decadent autumn evening, providing much needed aggression to the overall sound of Devius. The last major changes took place in the spring of 2008 when the band and Ida decided to part ways and, after a few dozen tryouts, it was decided that Noora was to take up the post of lead vocals.

At the same time the band felt the time was ripe for a name change. Thus, introducing the lineup of Disquiet Animus:

Noora (vocals)
Mikko (vocals)
Toni (guitar)
Teemu (bass)
Juuso (drums)
